Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join clients team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for vehicle mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies.
• Diagnose and rectify faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
• Conduct MOT preparations, inspections, and testing to DVSA standards.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
• Assist with breakdowns and roadside repairs as required.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and new technologies.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence (Category C+E is desirable).
• Knowledge of DVSA regulations and HGV inspection procedures.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
